One of the biggest problems encountered so far in using the Galaxy Tab in the school environment is the loss of connectivity with the internet because of proxy issues. This is quite a frustrating problem for users as the proxy error warning pops up and the only way to resolve it is to restart the tablet , sometimes several times until an authentication box finally pops up. Then the user has to put their credentials back in which includes domainname\username and password.
The reasons for this are unknown and conversations are currently been had with Samsung to see if they have any solutions.

I must say that proxy server issues are a nightmare, but the latest firware update for the Galaxy tab gets around this issue.

This issue continued for some time on our campus but thanks to the support everything is fixed now. I think the tablets are just not suited to connect via proxy servers.
