Synchronization and Charging Stations

9/7/2012

The syncronization and charging stations have arrived. Three trolleys with a capacity of 32 TABs in each will allow the devices to secured, organized into baskets of 8 for easy borrowing, charging and hopefully management of software.

The trolleys had to be assembled which is a time consuming task . A few minor problems with some aspects in assembly but were quickly rectified by PC Locks who sent someone on site to help out.

The synchronization side has not been worked out fully yet.  Samsung are presently creating software to allow sharing of applications with multiple devices. Their sofware Kies does not manage applications. Google play can manage applications but only on single devices. Google Play is not presently available to on the DET network.  Port 5228 needs to be opened on the firewall, this is currently being investigated.
